The Organising Committee are delighted to announce that registration is now open for ITS 2011

Established in 1992, Intelligent Transport Systems Australia (ITS Australia) is Australia’s principal organisation focused on facilitating the development and deployment of advanced technologies across all modes of transport; air, sea, road and rail. ITS Australia is an incorporated, not-for-profit organisation representing members of the ITS Industry including government, consumer organisations and academia.

Over the past five years there has been a genuine convergence of transport thinking. This Summit’s objective is a national vision, with a core set of transport priorities broadly acknowledged across all government jurisdictions, actively supported by both the research community and the private sector. ITS should no longer be applied as a remedy to fix problems but should be specified in the earliest planning phase as a core component of any transport investment.

The unprecedented level of consensus underpinning Australia's transport planning has given rise to a program of transport infrastructure development that is significant in scale and scope.
